Who we are
Cinchlane (“we”, “us”) provides dispatch software for trucking carriers: the website at cinchlane.com, the CRM at crm.cinchlane.com, and the Cinchlane Chrome extension. This policy covers all three.
What we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, company details and team membership when you sign up or are invited.
- Authentication data: a sign-in token stored as a cookie on cinchlane.com. The extension reads this cookie so it can act as your signed-in account. It does not collect your password.
- Load board page content: when you open the DAT One load board, the extension reads the load listings shown on that page (origin, destination, dates, rate, mileage, equipment and similar details) to calculate RPM, deadhead and profit. The extension does not read any other websites.
- Broker contact details: when you contact a broker about a load, the extension sends that broker’s business contact details (company name, contact name, phone, email, MC/DOT number) and the load details to your Cinchlane CRM. They are stored in your company’s account so your team can follow up. This data comes from the load board listing, where brokers publish it for carriers to use.
- Your settings: preferences you enter, such as truck location, costs per mile and filters.
- Payment information: handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
- Technical logs: basic server logs (timestamps, request paths, error details) that we use to keep the service running.
How we use it
- To provide the service: showing load math, scoring lanes, and saving loads and broker contacts to your CRM.
- To sign you in, manage your subscription, and give you support.
- To fix bugs and protect the service against abuse.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not use your data for advertising or to determine creditworthiness.
- We do not transfer your data to third parties except as needed to run the service (hosting, payment processing) or when the law requires it.
- The extension does not track your browsing history.
Storage and security
Data is sent over HTTPS and stored on servers we control. Access is limited to the people who operate the service. Each company’s data, including its broker contacts, is kept separate from other companies’ data. We keep it while your account is active and delete it on request. Brokers can also ask us to delete their contact details.
Your choices
You can uninstall the extension at any time, and it stops collecting data immediately. You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected].
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
